Nokia Tablet To Debut in Summer 2012 – Powered By Windows 8 !

It seems that Nokia-Microsoft marriage is heading towards new milestone. After smartphone, Nokia has planned to debut in flourishing Tablet market along with Windows 8 in 2012. However, the company has not officially declared anything yet, but it’s assumed that Nokia could manufacture a Tablet with the help of Microsoft against its existing rivals like Apple and Google.

The rumors is in vague because in a telephonic interview, Nokia Head at France –Paul  Amsellem—said “In June 2012, we will have a tablet that runs on Windows 8.” Whereas, a company spokesperson said “We haven’t announced any specific plans as it related to tablets”. And also earlier in this month, Nokia Chief Executive in the U.S. market said that the competitive devices were on the way.

It’s clear that the company has planned to manufacture its lineup of Tablets. But the big question from Nokia prospective is whether is it a right time for the company to launch its new lineup when company is just trying to scroll on its knees ? Is Nokia ready to jump into another challenge pool where established players are already facing ‘dog-eats-dog’ situation ? It’s pretty clear that Nokia Tablet market is somewhat non-existent and earlier its notebook has proven that the company’s technology is relatively older than its competitor.

As my perception, the move up of the company from its Smartphone market to Tablet is somewhat more challenging. Logically, it’s very difficult for a company to produce more advanced, redesigned and improved Tablet than those which are already existing in the market. I think the architecture for tablet is more hierarchical compare to the Smartphone; it might create a headache for end developer.

Recently,Nokia has launched two latest Smartphones based on the Windows platform this month. Company  has successfully managed to mark its existence and was able to clinch its market share against its rivals Apple and Google.

All and all, I thin its too ambitious for Nokia to look towards Tablet market now. Hardware as well as Software, competition is too immense from both prospective. It would be far better approach for Nokia to strengthen its smartphone presence with Windows Phone OS rather than exploring the new market.

Xperia X10 Will Not Get Android 4.0 ICS Update : Confirms Sony Ericsson.

Sony Ericsson recently confirmed that they are planning to update the entire Xperia line-up which was released in 2011 but the name of famous Xperia X10 was missing from the update list though Sony Ericsson is still selling the model in smartphone market. Absence of Xperia X10 from the update list may be because of its incompetent hardware specification consisting of 384 MB RAM, 1 GHz Scorpion processor and Adreno 200 GPU, all embedded in Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset.

Martina Johansson from Sony Ericsson confirm,”There have been a few questions here on the blog and in our support forums regarding our upgrade plans beyond Gingerbread. We can today confirm that we plan to upgrade the entire 2011 Xperia™ portfolio* to the next version of Android known as Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich. We are working on merging our current Xperia™ experience with the new features in Android 4.0.”

Sony Ericsson released a list of all supported smartphone models that will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update soon or later. The supported smartphones are given below.

New Blackberry Curve 9380- A Remarkable Smartphone From RIM [VIDEO]

The new Blackberry Curve 9380 is extremely similar to its previous 9360 and, it might surprise, one can’t distinguish it from 9360 when viewed from back. Twitter: A Biggest Brand Hub Online – 68 Percent Of Twitter Users Follow Brands

With the launch of several new features and strong response from users as well as marketers, it has been proven that micro-bogging titan Twitter is on its way to surpass its competitors in various aspects of social media industry. Its user-base and revenue both have risen in last one year significantly. Report enlightens that 64 percent of users follow between one and four brands on Twitter.

Report also highlights that 61 percent of users on Twitter follow brands to get get instant updates and know what’s hot in the market as well as specifications of the product. However, 36 percent of users on Twitter follow brands to know more about the content of the product launched by brands. Surprisingly, 50 percent of users said that after following a brand on Twitter, they became more anxious about the product and likely to purchase that product of same brand.

iPhone 4S,Motorola RAZR And Nokia Lumia Arrive in India : Thriving Indian Market

Major Electronic Giants are showing keen interest in Indian Smartphone market and thus India have become a preeminent destination of upcoming smartphones and tablets, and so the most awaited smartphones, iPhone 4S, Nokia Lumia and Motorola RAZR finally arrive in India.

First smartphone among them is Nokia Lumia series which Nokia launched yesterday in a huge event. Lumia series coming in India consists of Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 and are priced Rs 29,000 and Rs 19,000 respectively in Indian market. With that price tag, Lumia 800 has become the most costly Windows Mobile phone ( Windows Mango) in India and it will be competing with smartphones in the same price segment but different platforms like Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation etc. Nokia Lumia 710, which has a price tag of Rs 19,000 will head-to-head compete with Samsung Galaxy S, recently launched Samsung Omnia W, HTC Radar etc.

Lumia 800 has a vivid 3.7″ Amoled capacitive touchscreen and Gorilla glass display supporting resolution of 480×800 pixels. Its powered with 1.4 GHz Scorpion Processor,Adreno 205 GPU and 512 MB of Ram. Smartphone will run on Microsoft Windows Mobile 7.5 Mango and features 8MP Carl Ziess camera and 16 GB of internal storage with support for MicroSD card upto 32 GB. The cheaper version, Lumia 710 is similar to Lumia 800 in almost every specs, the only difference is of the design,8GB internal space and 5MP camera that it has.

Next entry is Apple iPhone 4s which will soon be appearing in Indian market though its declared for sale from November 25 by Aircel. As stated by Aircel, iPhone’s pre-booking will start from November 18. Apple iPhone 4S will be one of the super smartphones that will be available in Indian market at the end of this year. Its build on famous Apple A5 chipset which has a 1 GHz dual core ARM-cortex A9 processor, PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. This configuration makes iPhone very powerful because the graphics processing unit i.e PowerVR SGX543MP2 is one of the most powerful GPU available for mobiles. The iPhone 4S can be taken as a mobile gaming platform just like Sony PSP2 as games running on it will have console like graphics for sure. Price is still a mystery.

The final entry is Motorola RAZR which was surprisingly available for sale in one of the online retailer Flipkart.com priced at Rs 33,990. It will be competing with Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note falling in the same category. RAZR has a brilliant 4.3 inch touchscreen with Gorilla glass display and supports crystal clear resolution of 540×960 pixels.Powered with 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex-A9 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It has a 8 MP camera, 16 GB of internal memory and MicroSD card slot supported upto 32 GB of space.

Amazon Kindle Fire Vs Apple iPad: Will It Make A Viable Comparison ?

With the launch of Kindle Fire, Amazon has incubated the competition in Tablet market . It’s been predicted that Kindle Fire has all potential to grow at the cost of Apple’s iPad. A recent survey, conducted by Retrevo over more than 1000 Americans, might boost the confidence of Amazon that states that more than 44 percent of survey participants will prefer Amazon Kindle Fire over Apple’s iPad. Kindle Fire, with 7″ screen, is tagged with $199 in US and Rs. 14,999/- in India. As per the survey, price might become the biggest challenge for Apple iPad that starts from $499 – doubles the rate of Amazon Kindle Fire.

It’s interesting to know that only 12 percent of the respondents have said that they will prefer Apple iPad over Amazon Kindle Fire only due to brand value and confined Apple’s Apps ecosystem. It’s been also been highlighted that many of the respondents are still unaware of Amazon Kindle Fire – 44 percent of survey participants.

However, this could be the major aspect Apple can leverage upon. Apple is the world-renowned and the most trusted brand across the world. It’s been so popular that even a child in the age group of 9 – 10 is aware of Apple product compare to Amazon which is known much in professional community. The brand factor will help Apple to take significant lead over Amazon.

After Samsung And HTC, Microsoft Targets Huawei For Royalty Payment Over Android

The Chinese telecom giant Huawei has unveiled the truth that Microsoft is demanding royalty payment for its mobile products, which are  using Android OS. The chief marketing officer for Huawei device s- Victoe Xu- has confirmed that the company is negotiating with the Microsoft over licensing certain ‘Microsoft patents’. The game started when company had launched a new Smartphone and 7″ Tablet for the UK market, which work on Android platform.

Xu said;” we always respect the intellectual property of companies. But we have 65,000 patents worldwide too. We have enough to protect our interests. We are very important stakeholder in Android.”

Microsoft is extracting royalty from many companies for Android products, including Samsung, HTC, Compal electronics, Quanta Computer, Wistron, General Dynamics Itronix, velocity micro, Onkyo, acer and Viewsonic. After Microsoft’s latest patent agreement with the Compal- the world’s largest Original Design Manufacturers, or ODMs- situation hassled the Android manufacturers. Such license agreement clearly indicates that the company is accounting for more than half of all Android devices and have now entered into patent license agreement with Microsoft.

Google’s acquisition over Motorola is under dilemma and the future of Android is still uncertain. If Google will succeeded in the acquisition, it might lead more protection for Android license.

Huawei is the world’s second- biggest manufacturer of networking infrastructure such as mobile phones networks, behind Sweden’s Ericsson and ahead of Nokia Siemens networks.

The CEO of Huawei revealed its intend that the company want to be in the list of top five companies in the world in three years and among the top three in the next five year.

Microsoft’s New Windows 7 Commercial Excites People [VIDEO]

Recently, Microsoft has released its new “it’s a great time to be a family” commercial which demonstrates the company’s Windows live video chat – the part of Windows 7 software package. In the video, a relative passes a window 7 laptop among each family member to meet the baby.

The similar ad was released by Apple last year and titled the commercial “meet her”. The only difference between the ads is the comic touch added by Microsoft. The best moment come when baby scream when it hands over to Grandpa. By giving an elegant family touch, Microsoft wants to make its space in the heart of family users for Windows 7.

Although, Microsoft aired three more commercial ads in October and two earlier in this month, the first two were failed to impress but last two succeeded to charm viewers. Microsoft wants to demonstrate its Broad product portfolio using these ads. The ads commercially promote the integration across windows, window phone and office.

Such fantastic concept to promote its broad portfolio was put together by Crispin & Bogusky-the agency responsible for launching Microsoft’s windows phone operating system.

However, it’s not officially declared by Microsoft that how much the company spending for its campaign but in last year the company expensed $926.3 million on advertisement. The company spent approx $400 million on Microsoft’s brand, more than $100 million on Bing searching engine and nearly $60 million on Xbox.

In recent, the Microsoft makes another strategy to attract consumers that the company has created Widows PC in the consumer houses to highlight its broad product portfolios. Microsoft will release the latest commercial in 35 countries which will focus on the Microsoft’s consumer products.
