Major Electronic Giants are showing keen interest in Indian Smartphone market and thus India have become a preeminent destination of upcoming smartphones and tablets, and so the most awaited smartphones, iPhone 4S, Nokia Lumia and Motorola RAZR finally arrive in India.
First smartphone among them is Nokia Lumia series which Nokia launched yesterday in a huge event. Lumia series coming in India consists of Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 and are priced Rs 29,000 and Rs 19,000 respectively in Indian market. With that price tag, Lumia 800 has become the most costly Windows Mobile phone ( Windows Mango) in India and it will be competing with smartphones in the same price segment but different platforms like Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Sensation etc. Nokia Lumia 710, which has a price tag of Rs 19,000 will head-to-head compete with Samsung Galaxy S, recently launched Samsung Omnia W, HTC Radar etc.
Lumia 800 has a vivid 3.7″ Amoled capacitive touchscreen and Gorilla glass display supporting resolution of 480×800 pixels. Its powered with 1.4 GHz Scorpion Processor,Adreno 205 GPU and 512 MB of Ram. Smartphone will run on Microsoft Windows Mobile 7.5 Mango and features 8MP Carl Ziess camera and 16 GB of internal storage with support for MicroSD card upto 32 GB. The cheaper version, Lumia 710 is similar to Lumia 800 in almost every specs, the only difference is of the design,8GB internal space and 5MP camera that it has.
Next entry is Apple iPhone 4s which will soon be appearing in Indian market though its declared for sale from November 25 by Aircel. As stated by Aircel, iPhone’s pre-booking will start from November 18. Apple iPhone 4S will be one of the super smartphones that will be available in Indian market at the end of this year. Its build on famous Apple A5 chipset which has a 1 GHz dual core ARM-cortex A9 processor, PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. This configuration makes iPhone very powerful because the graphics processing unit i.e PowerVR SGX543MP2 is one of the most powerful GPU available for mobiles. The iPhone 4S can be taken as a mobile gaming platform just like Sony PSP2 as games running on it will have console like graphics for sure. Price is still a mystery.
The final entry is Motorola RAZR which was surprisingly available for sale in one of the online retailer Flipkart.com priced at Rs 33,990. It will be competing with Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note falling in the same category. RAZR has a brilliant 4.3 inch touchscreen with Gorilla glass display and supports crystal clear resolution of 540×960 pixels.Powered with 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex-A9 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It has a 8 MP camera, 16 GB of internal memory and MicroSD card slot supported upto 32 GB of space.
