As the year is approaching to an end, list, yearly performance, buzz of the year and lot more interesting facts are on its way. The latest is the most buzzed social network where Twitter continues its dream run by dominating its arch rivals in micro-blogging space. Recent ranking by digital marketing agency Zeta Interactive measures Twitter as the most-buzzed social networking site of 2011. Leading ahead of professional networking site LinkedIn and last year topper YouTube. The scores by Zeta Buzz are calculated mathematically by the volume multiplied by the positive ranking divided by 10.

However, this year has resulted as the best year for Twitter till its inception. In this year Twitter revenue surged by 210 percent and has been honored as “Digital Service of The Year” at T3 awards. It is being also expected that Twitter will touch $400 million revenue by 2014.

“2011 is the year of Twitter. For culture, breaking news and celebrities it is the social network. I think that’s reflected in the much more positive tonal ranking,” as said by Minna Rhee, CEO Zeta Interactive.

Interestingly, social media titan Facebook is unable to make in top 3 list due to rise of complains and the negative buzz. Zeta has considered only 70 percent of the Facebook discussion as a positive buzz while 30 percent accounts for negative buzz. Facebook is on the fourth spot in the list published.

While professional networking site LinkedIn has proved itself again by finishing on second spot. This is mainly due to job creation hype, for which LinkedIn is famous. Job creation is a market where people are more conscious and want to be in touch with professionals of diverse companies for job opportunities.

The most surprising entry in the list is of two new comers Meetup (sixth place) and Ning (ninth). These two social networks have been rated among the highest tonal rankings with 93 percent of buzz, which means these two social networks are backed by personal and local supporters.

The two social networks YouTube and Flickr have declined the most in ranking compare to last year, where these two were holding first and second position respectively.

However, Google+ has not been considered for top 10 list because it was launched in mid of 2011 and the ranking is based on the whole year data. Anyhow, it manages to get 12th position in the list, but with recent launches it will definitely make entry in top 10 list of 2012.

Last but not the least Twitter has again surpassed all the social network giants which is a positive indication of future growth.
