As vacations are nearer cyber criminals have become active and are all set to attack on internet users. In last one decade cyber crime rate is bullying and no firm steps have been taken so far to hold them. In last one year cyber crime is on its peak by backing of near about 112,472 phishing attacks that took place in first half of 2011 and near about 520 different institutions were targeted. It has been reported that last year Malware costs $2.3 billion to consumers.
Taking in view of cyber attacks and cyber crime, F-Secure has released an interesting infographic which highlights the cyber criminals’ interests.
Personally, I think Internet industry giants should unite and take initiatives to reduce cyber crime by increasing security of online user. Since, in last one year crime rate has increased in an exponential manner and the way its growing, it will definitely harm online as well as internet industry.
