Surprisingly, during the second quarter of 2020, Twitter's US and International revenue, both declined a notable 20% YoY and 18% YoY, respectively. A huge decline in revenue was mainly due to the decline in advertising revenue across most markets.

Twitter US revenue in Q2 2020 declined a 20% YoY, to $364.88 million. While the revenue from International markets clocked $318.56 million during Q2 2020, with nearly 18% YoY decline. On a quarterly basis, there was nearly 6% decline in Twitter International revenue.

In Q4 2018, Twitter revenue from the US reached an all-time high of $505.6 million, with an impressive 24.5% YoY growth. The fourth quarter of 2018 was also the first time when the company’s total revenue from the US crossed the $500-million mark.

Meanwhile, Twitter revenue from International markets also reached highest-ever $403.25 million in the fourth quarter, with an impressive 23.96% YoY growth.

In Q2 2013, Twitter achieved its first $100-million revenue milestone from the United States. The US region accounted for a whopping 72.8% of the company’s total revenue in the second quarter, bringing in $101.38 million. In just one year, the company achieved another milestone as the quarterly revenue from International markets also crossed the $100-million mark for the first time in Q2 2014.
