As observed from the graph, Twitter has always been recording its highest-ever quarterly revenue during the fourth quarter of the year, compared to the other three quarters of that particular year.

The breakthrough quarter for Twitter was back in Q2 2015 when the company’s global revenue crossed the $500-million milestone for the very first time. The company posted a whopping $502.38 million in revenue, with a year-over-year increase of 60.9%. Interestingly, within a year, the quarterly revenue of Twitter increased $99.6 million, to $601.96 million, globally.

Surprisingly, in Q1 2017, Twitter global revenue declined to 548.25 million, from $594.5 million in Q1 2016. That represented a notable 7.78% YoY decline, primarily due to the 11% YoY decline in the company’s advertising services revenue. This also represented a huge 23.6% QoQ decline from Q4 2016 when the total quarterly revenue hit a record 717.21 million.

Twitter achieved over $1 billion revenue milestone in Q4 2019. The company reported an applaudable 10.8% YoY and 22.3% QoQ growth in its quarterly revenue, totalling $1007.3 million.
