The 5.49% year-over-year increase in the total GoDaddy customers in the second quarter primarily resulted from the increased international presence, the ongoing marketing and advertising initiatives and the enhanced and expanded product offerings.

The number of GoDaddy customer increased from 11.9 million in Q1 2014 to 13.1 million in Q1 2015. That represents nearly 9.3% YoY growth in the total customer base, mainly due to the company’s business expansion in international markets and expanded and enhanced product offerings.

In Q2 2017, the company had a total of 16.9 million (16,878 to be precise) customers around the world. The 17.8% YoY growth in the number of customers primarily resulted from the acquisition of Host Europe Group (HEG), increased international presence, etc.
