Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is ready for its next big media event, the keynote to WWDC 2019. It will be happening on June 3rd at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET at McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California. This is the place where the Apple Developers Conferences are usually held. The WWDC 2019 is a four-day event scheduled from June 3rd through to June 7th. Apple WWDC 2019 will revolve around new technologies, innovations and processes the company wants the developers to get enlighted about. The whole objective behind the WWDC 2019 event is to make the stakeholders and the contributors of the iOS ecosystem ready for the new wave of change Apple may be planning in its upcoming products.

Apple WWDC 2019: What To Expect

The Worldwide Developers Conference, aka WWDC, is all about showcasing the software side of the company, even though the company is largely acclaimed its hardware. The event indicates iOS developers’ community about the new software updates that will be hitting the company’s devices and the change that they will be bringing along with them.

Hence, it’s quite exciting to learn about the possible releases and announcements that Apple could make during the much-awaited event that attracts millions of eyeballs every year.

The biggest attraction of Apple WWDC 2019 could be iOS 13. Codenamed as “Yukon“, this iOS update will apparently bring about a lot of tweaks with regards to the overall interface of the device. One of them is supposed to be a “new animation when launching multitasking and closing apps“. The panel of widgets is supposedly going to get a redesign too.

Among the other features, there will be the release of much anticipated ‘dark’ mode and a swipe-based keyboard like the one provided by Swiftkey.

Another exciting release will include MacOS 10.15. As anticipated from last year’s announcement in Apple WWDC 2018, one of its major features is going to be that iPad apps will be supported on the Mac device.

Along with a new Apple Music app, other features to be introduced to the iMac include Screen Time, iMessage stickers and effects, and Siri Shortcuts.

However, the biggest attraction of them all may well be in the category of the Apple Watch. It is expected that in WWDC 2019 Apple may announce the App Store exclusively for Apple Watch series. Earlier, the apps were downloaded with assistance from other Apple devices.

Other updates include Apple Books app, a calculator and Animoji and Memoji stickers.

Can We Expect Hardware Revelations?

While it is difficult to expect any new device or hardware revelations in this year’s WWDC, there might one, and that could be in the category of the Mac. Developers are hoping that the completely redesigned Mac Pro could be unveiled. The desktop will supposedly go through a complete redesign and will be accompanied with a companion Apple display.

Why WWDC 2019 Is Important for Apple?

While the WWDC has always been the platform for the biggest software and sometimes hardware announcements in the company’s history, its importance can be realised now more than ever. The sales of the company aren’t as good as they usually were. This means that people are going to hold on to their Apple devices for longer than expected. Thus, rolling out consistent updates with new features periodically is important to keep the present user base content.
