Facebook has now 1,734 million (1.73 billion) daily active users worldwide, after adding 77 million new users during the three months ended March 31, 2020. That’s nearly 4.6% QoQ growth in Facebook global DAUs.
On a yearly basis, the social media giant recorded a modest 11% YoY growth in its Q1 2020 DAUs, worldwide. About 172 million new people started using Facebook on a daily basis between Q1 2019 and Q1 2020.

It was the first time in fiscal Q3 2015 when the number of Facebook DAUs had crossed 1 billion mark. By the end of September 30, 2015, about 1,007 million (1.01 billion) people were using Facebook on a daily basis.
After almost 3 years, in fiscal Q4 2018 Facebook passed another important milestone. About 1.52 billion people on average used Facebook in a single day, to connect with their friends and family.
