Samsung,a major smartphone and tablet manufacturer,yesterday officially announced the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). This upcoming tablet from Samsung will be the Samsung’s first tablet running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. With so many announcements from the different companies, finally, Samsung broke the silence by introducing the first line-up of tablets for 2012. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) will be available in two variants in the market i.e 3G and WiFi versions. Samsung stated that UK will be the first country to get this device and soon the other corners of the world will get it. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) launch is scheduled for March 2012 in UK and later for other countries.

“Two years ago, Samsung GALAXY Tab began to offer customers more possibilities on the go. Since then, Samsung has actively enhanced our tablet line-up with several tablets in different sizes,” said JK Shin, President of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “The new GALAXY Tab 2 (7.0) will provide people with delighted multimedia experience and allow efficient communication”, he added.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 features 7.0″ PLS TFT display with 1024×600 resolution sufficient enough to deliver vivid viewing experience to the consumers. Its packed with the upgraded TouchWiz user interface which brings all the Hub widgets a single click away. This latest addition from Samsung is powered with 1 GHz Dual-Core processor and 1 GB RAM, making it capable enough to handle multi-tasking,3D gaming and multimedia contents with ease. Value added features like S Suggest, ChatON mobile communication service,All Share Play, various Google services, Polaris,A-GPS etc. make  it one of the most-awaited tablet of the season. Regarding connectivity, Galaxy Tab 2 is packed with Bluetooth technology v 3.0,USB 2.0,Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct etc give the device extra punch of mobile connectivity. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is bundled with a rear 3.0 MP camera and a VGA front camera. The device will be available in 8/16/32 GB models with MicroSD card slot expandable upto 32 GB.

The new OS’s vastly faster performance and response times across multiple applications is further enhanced by HSPA+ 21Mbps or WiFi connectivity”.
