World’s largest professional network service provider Linkedin has agreed to acquire ChoiceVendor, a startup that provides real-world ratings and reviews of business-to-business service providers in more than 70 categories across the United States. Linkedin is looking committed to enhance their service furthermore in order to counter business threats from Facebook & Twitter.

An open source based Diaspora, with similar look and feel as Facebook but devoid of the confusing privacy policies , has set a launch date as sometime next month.
