Google Inc. has ramped up its commitment to cloud computing with the announcement that it is working on a new range of Chrome books - which will use the firm's cloud-based Chrome OS. The personal computer will run on Google's Chrome operating system, which is cloud-enabled. The news source reports that the system will allow users to access popular virtual applications, including Google Docs and Google Business Apps.

According to a new report, Amazon and IBM have emerged as the leaders in clouding computing. Microsoft, Google, Cisco, Red Hat and VMware are also among the list of heavyweights in this field. All tech vendors are embracing the cloud. Even those that don't provide public cloud services are fighting to become the top builders of infrastructures to support emerging cloud networks.

RIM (BlackBerry) Services May Shut Down in India Too

Things are not going in the BlackBerry way, at least for now. After a major setback in UAE and Saudi Arabia where BlackBerry services will no longer be available after 11 October, it's time for Indian BlackBerry customers who need to worry now. In a recent move BlackBerry expressed its inability to meet the demand by Indian Government saying no one including the company could access the encrypted data. With this statement BlackBerry hit the wall where services may be banned in India too.

Facebook Stands Among Web’s Worst in Customer Satisfaction [Survey]

Top Social Networking website Facebook has been rated among Web Worst’s company in an American Customer satisfaction Survey conducted by ForeSee. Surprisingly, company’s ranking is lower than any other business in its category besides MySpace which stand at the lowest in the list. Larry Freed, CEO- ForeSee, says that “blow on privacy issue, constant change in design, data flow, frequent app upgrades and integration of advertisement section and commercialization are the main cause behind posted ranking for Facebook.

AT&T e-mail apologizes for iPad breach

AT&T sent an e-mail to iPad owners Sunday explaining a security breach that occurred on its site and laying much of the blame with the group that discovered the hole. The e-mail, which was signed by AT&T Chief Privacy Officer Dorothy Attwood, blamed "self-described hackers" for uncovering a hole in the company's Web site that allowed for the exposure of 114,000 e-mail addresses belonging to iPad owners.
