Microsoft responses to Microsoft’s shutdown at Googleplex

Despite no official acknowledgement from Google that it's ditching Microsoft's Windows operating system, Microsoft felt compelled to respond Tuesday. Despite of no official confirmation from Google, Microsoft released a blog post Tuesday afternoon defending Windows security and pointing out that security concerns helped derail a Gmail deployment at Yale University.

Andriod 2.1 based Motorola Flipout released

Motorola announced the launch of Flipout, its Android-powered compact smartphone. The Flipout runs on Google's Android 2.1 and comes with Motoblur, Motorola's custom user interface for Android phones. The Motoblur interface aggregates and syncs Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Gmail and last.fm.

Crome OS all set for “late fall” release.

Google expects to release its Chrome computer operating system in the "late fall", a top executive said on Wednesday, as it aims a competitive strike at rival Microsoft's Windows. The Chrome system will be designed initially to work on laptop PCs, Sundar Pichai, Google's head of the Chrome project told reporters at the Computex PC show.
