After much of criticism, dialogs, allegations and many turning points Research in Motion (RIM), makers of BlackBerry, has cracked a deal with Saudi Arabia Regulatory Authority to ensure uninterrupted services for all Blackberry users in kingdom. With such agreement on Saturday RIM averted the possible ban on BlackBerry services due to accessibility issue on user's data.
Smartphone market war is on so the market is bubbling. Sales of Android-based smartphones are surging, tearing chunks of market share out of Apple, RIM, and Windows Mobile's hides. According to a report released by Nielsen company, Android phones are pretty close to beat top 2 market leaders Apple & RIM ( BlackBerry ) in US market.
Keeping national security as prime concern, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) has announced today that BlackBerry's Email, web browsing and chat services will be terminated inside the country very soon. Within hours of such announcement Saudi Arabia also has joined the row and declared the suspension of BlackBerry services in the country. Since India shares the same mindset with UAE & Saudi Arabia over BlackBerry's operational model, there are high chances for India to take similar action towards RIM ( BlackBerry).
It's not many days over when Apple did sense future dent in its unchallenged iPad territory by other competitors like Microosft & HP. Before Apple start working on future strategy to avoid any pie to share, BlackBerry makes it further more difficult by announcing "BlackPad" - a BlackBerry Tablet PC which will be launched by November this year, according to a latest Report by Bloomberg.
