One must note that in Q1 2019, the global net income of Amazon reached a record high of $3,561 million ($3.6 billion), representing 118.6% year-over-year growth. During the quarter, the total revenue stood at $59,700 million ($59.7 billion).

Amazon achieved its first $50 billion revenue milestone in Q1 2018; the company’s quarterly revenue increased from $35,714 million ($35.7 billion) in Q1 2017 to a whopping $51,042 million ($51 billion) in Q1 2018. Meanwhile, the net profit also increased from just $724 million to $1,629 million during the same period.

One must note that in fiscal Q4 2001, Amazon achieved two big milestones in terms of revenue and net income; Amazon quarterly revenue crossed $1-billion mark for the first time in Q4 2001.
