GoDaddy domain registrations provide a customer with the exclusive use of a domain during the applicable contract term. He/She can no longer access the domain until it renewed.

In Q2 2015, GoDaddy had more than 60 million domain names under its management, which increased to over 62.8 million in just one year.

Surprisingly, in Q2 2017, the company witnessed a whopping 14.97% YoY increase in its number of domains under management. The total domains increased from 62.8 million in Q2 2016 to a whopping 72.2 million in Q2 2017. The GoDaddy domains revenue also increased a notable 14.6% YoY to $263.3 million during the second quarter of 2017. This growth was primarily driven by the acquisition of HEG.

The highest-ever year-over-year growth in the number of domains names managed by GoDaddy was recorded in Q1 2018. The company recorded an appreciable 18.14% year-over-year growth in the number domain names under management, totalling to 76.2 million.
