Twitter US MAUs by Quarter – From Q1 2010 to Q1 2019

The above graph represents Twitter monthly active users in the US by quarter, starting from Q1 2010 to Q1 2019. As the growth of the monthly active Twitter users stagnated, the company stopped revealing its users’ data from Q2 2019. As of March 2019, Twitter has 330 million monthly active users globally. Out of that, nearly 20.6% are from the US. Twitter US MAUs increased a small 3% QoQ to 68 million in Q1 2019.

In Q1 2010, nearly 10 million people were actively using Twitter on a monthly basis, representing 33.3% of the total Twitter MAUs globally.

In Q3 2013, the number of Twitter monthly active users in the US crossed the 50-million mark for the first time. The microblogging platform added 4 million new US users during the quarter, making 53 million – that represented 22.8% of the total global MAUs the platform acquired in Q3 2013.

It was the first time in Q2 2014 when Twitter US MAUs count touched 60 million mark, representing 22.14 of the total global monthly active users. Since then it is hovering between 60-70 million.

The highest number of MAU of Twitter from the US recorded in Q1 2018 i.e 69 million. The US region accounted for 20.54% of Twitter’s total MAUs worldwide.
