Today, Oppo has launched the second edition of its Reno Series smartphone in India. While the speculations about the price of Reno 2 in India were making the rounds on the internet for quite some time, Oppo has tagged the Reno 2 with Rs 36,990/-. And, it, indeed, makes the device head-turner.

Loaded with quad-camera setup, Oppo Reno 2 sports a bezel-less display without having any punch hole or notch at the front. A 16MP ‘Shark fin camera’ for ultimate selfie experience makes Reno 2 more one of the most wanna be smartphones for selfie lovers.

The major attraction lies in the quad-camera setup at the rear along with 20X digital zoom. All the Reno 2 series smartphones house 48MP Sony IMX586 camera sensor in addition to an 8 MP camera, a 13MP camera with 5x hybrid zoom, and a 2MP depth sensor. 5x hybrid zoom is like a cherry on the ice.

The Ultra Dark Mode makes the low light photography in Reno 2 more adorable. The company offers excellent low light capture ‘even in extremely low light’ with this feature.

But that’s not all to pay attention to. The company has put Snapdragon 730G processor under the hood with 4,000 mAh battery, 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM. The Snapdragon 730G chipset is primarily focused on the gaming experience. And with so much power in a device, Oppo is clearly targeting the flourishing mobile gaming market in India with Reno 2 series smartphones.

The company has launched three variants of Reno 2 series smartphones in India: Reno 2, Reno 2Z and Reno 2F.

Oppo Reno 2 price

With each passing quarter, Oppo is constantly strengthening its market in India. In Q2 2019, Oppo accounted for 8% of the total smartphone shipments in India and claimed the fifth spot in the list of top smartphone vendors in India in Q2 2019.

It would be interesting to see how Reno 2 Series smartphone, which Oppo has decided to launch in India much before the global launch, can help the company to leapfrog its closest rival Vivo and claim a double-digit smartphone shipment share in Q3 2019.
