On the other hand, the revenue from Payments and Other Fees increased a notable 16% YoY in 2018, to $825 million. That’s representing only 1.5% of the company’s total revenue for fiscal 2018.

Surprisingly, in fiscal 2011, Facebook’s total revenue increased a whopping 88% YoY, to $3,711 million, globally. The growth was primarily driven by a strong 69% YoY increase in Facebook’s advertising revenue during 2011. Facebook ad revenue in 2011 clocked $3.15 billion. According to Facebook’s annual report, the advertising revenue grew due to an impressive 42% increase in the number of ads delivered and an 18% increase in the average price per ad delivered.

In fiscal 2014, Facebook Payments and Other Fees revenue reached an all-time high of $974 million. However, after that, it has started declining. Facebook’s Payment and Other Fees revenue declined a notable 13% YoY in 2015, 11% YoY in 2016, and 6% YoY in 2017.
