Amazon’s Great Indian Festival is around the corner, and the company is leaving no stone unturned to make it more adorable. The company has announced a fleet of offers to woo online shoppers during the Great Indian Festival. Besides discount offers on smartphones, the best one if the free screen replacement for smartphones online shoppers would buy from Amazon India during the Great Indian Festival.

Amazon has not restricted itself only to free screen replacement to smartphones, it will also offer a comprehensive protection plan for just Rs. 1 onwards. The comprehensive protection plan helps users to protect themselves from any expenses that may occur due to accidental damage or theft of their device.

The free screen replacement for smartphones is probably the most exciting offer of Great Indian Festival that will get the heads turned. According to a study, nearly 30% of smartphone users damage or crack their smartphone screen. Amazon India has also announced many other exciting offers for the upcoming Great Indian Festival. Besides free screen replacement of smartphone and mobile insurance starting at Rs 1, the e-commerce behemoth would be offering an extended warranty, free shipping and installation for many products.

Amazon India would be providing free 1-year extended warranty on Refrigerators, Washing Machines and TVs online shoppers would buy during the festival period.

Amazon has also announced free shopping of the first product shoppers would buy during the Great Indian Festival. This offer is applicable for all new customers irrespective of the fact whether they decided to opt-in Prime membership or not.

However, to encourage shoppers to buy Prime membership Amazon has announced the early access of the Great Indian Festival for all the Prime members. While all the shoppers can start shopping from 12AM on 10th October 2018, Prime members can have a 12-hours early window to make the most of the Great Indian Festival offers, starting from 12 noon on 9th October 2018.


It is expected that this festive season is going to be a record-breaking period for all e-commerce players in India. The daily sales could surpass 3 million, up from 2 million last year.

“This festive season is likely to be bigger (for ecommerce firms) than last year’s, which was more subdued because of several pre-GST sales,” said Satish Meena, senior forecast analyst at Forrester, pegging daily shipments during festive season at a relatively conservative 2.8 million.

Analysts are expecting that online shoppers are going to spend more this year as dust related to GST rollout has been settled. Besides, this year customers would be enjoying more easy-to-buy scenario due to a number of EMI options offered by banks, wallets and e-commerce companies itself who have recently launched their payment services like PhonePe and Amazon Pay.

The entry of Walmart through the acquisition of Flipkart has fueled the competition and both the companies have got the biggest ever war chest to compete with each other. This year, shoppers would be enjoying the never-seen-before offers and deals.
