Out of that, nearly 1.6% came from its Payments & other fees. Facebook’s Payments and Other Fees revenue increased an impressive 36% YoY in Q2 2019, to $262 million. This strong year-over-year growth was primarily driven by sales of new products, notably Oculus Quest and Rift S.

Facebook generates a majority of its Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region, every quarter. In fiscal Q2 2019, Facebook’s Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region increased a whopping 43% YoY to $163 million.
It was fiscal Q4 2018 when Facebook generated its highest-ever Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region. The revenue increased from $121 million in Q4 2017 to $187 million in Q4 2018.
Nearly one-fourth of Facebook’s Payment and Other Fees revenue in Q2 2019 came from Europe. The Payment and Other Fees revenue from Europe clocked $66 million in Q2 2019, with a 20% YoY increase.
Surprisingly, despite having the maximum number of MAUs and DAUs, Asia-Pacific contributed only 10% to the company’s total Payments and Other Fees revenue in Q2 2019. However, the region generated $27 million in revenue from Payments and Other Fees, posting a whopping 42% YoY growth. As the graph shows, it was fiscal Q4 2012 when Facebook’s Payments and Other Fees revenue from APAC reached an all-time high of $30 million.
Note: Facebook’s Payments revenue is comprised of the net fees the company receives from developers using the Payments infrastructure. The “Other Fees” revenue consists primarily of revenue from the delivery of consumer hardware devices, as well as revenue from various other sources.
