The above graph represents the quarterly distribution of Facebook revenue from payments and other fees, by region. In Q4 2019, Facebook quarterly revenue clocked $21,082 million ($21.1 billion) – the highest-ever till date. The company’s payments and other businesses still account for 1.6% of the total revenue. Facebook’s Payments and Other Fees revenue in Q4 2019 increased an impressive 26.3% YoY to a record $346 million. Facebook generates a majority of its Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region, every quarter.

In fiscal Q4 2019, Facebook’s Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region increased a 21.4% YoY to $227 million. This was the highest-ever Payments & Other Fees revenue from the US & Canada region.

About one-fourth of Facebook’s Payment and Other Fees revenue in Q4 2019 came from Europe. The Payment and Other Fees revenue from Europe clocked $88 million in Q4 2019, with a 37.5% YoY increase.

Surprisingly, despite having the maximum number of MAUs and DAUs, Asia-Pacific contributed only 6.6% to the company’s total Payments and Other Fees revenue in Q4 2019. However, the region generated $23 million in revenue from Payments and Other Fees, posting a whopping 35.3% YoY growth. As the graph shows, it was fiscal Q4 2012 when Facebook’s Payments and Other Fees revenue from APAC reached an all-time high of $30 million.

Note: Facebook’s Payments revenue is comprised of the net fees the company receives from developers using the Payments infrastructure. The “Other Fees” revenue consists primarily of revenue from the delivery of consumer hardware devices, as well as revenue from various other sources.
