No, I am not talking about Gangnam Style. If you are the one who is keeping a close eye on the most viewed music video on YouTube month over month, then I am sure you are as curious as I am about the new world record this music video on YouTube is going to make.

This music video on YouTube has broken many records previously, and the most interesting one among all of those is garnering 3 billion views in a record time – something that even Gangnam Style and See You Again couldn’t achieve.

But, that’s not the main achievement we want to grab your attention for. It’s the first time in the history of YouTube that the views count of any music video will reach 4 billion. And, that too in just 10 months. The popularity of this new video could be understood from the fact that after the 10 months since the release Gangnam Style garnered only 1.5 billion views on YouTube.

I know by now you may be getting little restless to know the name of the music video which has smashed all the previous records of all music videos on YouTube.

I am talking about none other than “Luis Fonsi – Despacito ft. Daddy Yankee”.

Released in January this year, Fonsi’s dance-inducing song quickly began breaking many YouTube record. only to become the most viewed music video on YouTube. In less than five months it surpassed Gangnam Style. In the next few following weeks, it also leapfrogged See You Again, a tribute to Paul Walker. On August 4, 2017, it crossed 3 billion views and became the first music video on YouTube to achieve that milestone.

In the last 2 months, the king of YouTube views has attracted another 981 million views and is just 15 million views away from setting up another record – the first Youtube video to cross 4 billion views. After evaluating the daily growth in view count we expect that this most viewed music video on YouTube could achieve the milestone anytime on October 11, 2017.

We believe that after so many views and so much of media mentions, it’s quite unlikely that you have not seen the most viewed music video on YouTube. Due to any reason, however, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is the video you must listen, see and try to figure out the secret sauce behind the extremely popular music video on YouTube.
