Started in the year 2003 LinkedIn mainly focuses on networking professionals around the universe. By the end of June 2015, 380 million internet users have had joined the platform. While the US remains the largest country by user count on LinkedIn, India follows closely at second position with more than 31 million users. To understand which are the most popular personalities in the professional network, recently, LinkedIn had published a report on the most viewed professionals on LinkedIn in India for 2015. The concept was derived from the thought of leadership like what makes a good leader, how people can aspire to become one, and so on.

Though India is celebrating its 69th Independence Day on August 15th, LinkedIn had a thought of analyzing the number of visits the Indian professionals are gaining. It figured out three key success factors of India’s success and transformation; Visionary Leadership, Innovation, and a spirit of Entrepreneurship. By keeping these factors in mind, they released the LinkedIn Power Profiles 2015 in India. The categorization of the professionals falls under various industries like Internet, Technology, Finance, Human Resources, Telecommunications, and Marketing & Advertising. A kernel point that would connect these professionals is their ability to invest in the most appropriate qualities and skills.

While learning the stories of these outstanding professionals, we shall have an insight to the factors they can teach us. First, let us analyze what Visionary Leadership is; Prime Minister Narendra Modi topped the list of Power CEO Profiles. He had the vision of driving India forward through his aspiring leadership skills. His plan for Digital India is capable enough of inspiring the dreams of billion people of a country. Narendra Modi enjoys his position of earning 1 million followers on LinkedIn on the list of top viewed CEOs in India.


While explaining Innovation, Kumud Srinivasan, President Intel India, emerged as a transformation leader on LInkedIn. She who believes in personal transformation played a foremost role in innovating at world;s largest chip manufacturing company Intel in India.

By 2020, India will turn up to be the youngest country in the world with a maximum number of young professionals to lead it. Bipin Preet Singh, Founder & CEO – MobiKwik and Harsha Kumar, AVP – OlaCabs were recognized as equally powerful profiles to appear in the list.


The world of Internet in India is flourishing with the names of Startups Entrepreneurs, and the same is quite visible from the list of Powerful Profiles in India from Internet Industry.
