Most of us have had started educating ourselves about the wearable technology quite recently, especially after the launch of Google Glass, Fitness Band, or Smartwatch. But, what if I tell you that Wearable technology has got a long history of over 700 years! I know, I may sound like an alien in a tech world, but as you keep reading further, below statistics & facts may convince you to reevaluate your thought.

In an era of technology, where we are trying to connect and control everything by our smartphone, people have started expecting the next outcome of the technology revolution. And taking a cue from the technology revolution, mobile devices manufacturers have started projecting Wearable gadgets as the best companion of generation Y. Smartwatches, Smart Shoes and Smart Clothing are few of the next-gen products that compliment wearable technology. Interestingly, Mark Zuckerberg is also to aiming make Facebook Wearable by 2025.

However, due to infrastructure challenges and unrealistic features have kept us away from the adoption of the real wearable technology. Think of it, would you like to control your door lock with your Apple Watch? If your answer is Yes, then how many people will really go and change their door locks just because they have got the smart watch to wear. At least, not in near future.
