Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) finally unveiled the much awaited new iPad with significant changes. After all the rumors the iPad Air is finally official and unlike the iPad 4, Apple has made the device more powerful but lighter and thinner to make it easy to carry along.

The new iPad Air sports a 9.7 inch Retina Display with narrow size bezel and rounded corners. In a way it is like a big brother to iPad Mini. It is also 28 percent lighter and 20 percent thinner than its predecessor. However, it’s a little disappointing to see no improvement in battery backup which has become essential as people consume Rich Media content. Yesterday, Nokia also ventured into the tablet market with its first Tablet Lumia 2520 that provides an 11 hours battery backup which can be extended to 16 hours using the Power Keyboard.
