Brand Pages, On Facebook Inc. (FB), Managed By Women Drive About 12k More Followers [INFOGRAPHIC]

Leading global brands are realizing the importance of online presence on various Social media platforms, especially Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB). Most of firms in developed countries have separate section of workforce working on Social media part for publicity and marketing for the brand. More than 1357% increment took place in Social media roles in various small and big firms. Social media accounts are handled by group of admins from various Social media team of online brands.

According to a sample of 100,000 page admins on Facebook, monitored by social media analytics platform  Socialbakers,

  • If comparison is made based on age group about 33.5% of admins belong to age group 20-30, closely followed by about 27.4% belonging to age group between 30-40.
  • For admins above age of 30, men dominated with 54.6%, when compared to 22.3% share of women group.
  • Men also managed more Facebook pages with an average of 9.75 pages, compared with 7.33 for women.
  • Pages managed by women averaged 36,442 likes, versus 23,579 for those run by men. This data could be used well by online brands to increase visibility and brand followers.

We might observe steady increase in younger group in Social media job roles in various firms, As they have better knowledge about various online platforms. Also companies would prefer engaging women group as admin of their Social media accounts in order to drive more followers.
