While the Smartphone market is stagnating in European and Korean market, Indian companies like Micromax Mobile is taking the market on toll by challenging premium Smartphone handsets from global players like Samsung. Micromax Mobile has announced to launch the fourth-generation of its flagship Smartphone Canvas 4 yesterday. However, there is no much information has been spilled by the company besides 2 images and a teaser video.
Indian Smartphone market leader Micromax Mobile has been challenging global leaders like Samsung, LG, and Huawei for last few years. And, the recent announcement of Canvas 4 is also being considered as the company’s answer of Samsung Galaxy S4 to the people who don’t have deep pockets.
Micromax Canvas 4 is powered by powerful Mediatek Quad-Core processor; probably clocked to the speed of 1.2 Ghz. To compliment it, 1 GB of RAM would enhance the users experience even at the time of more number of concurrent apps processing. The bigger 5-inch IPS Screen adds value to the investment but the biggest upgrade comes in the form of camera as Canvas 4 is loaded with 13 Megapixel Autofucs focus with LED flash. However, its still not clear whether the device will come with 8 GB of default storage or Micomax will cover an extra mile with 16 GB default storage, expandable upto 32 GB.
Though, one can’t do apple-to-apple performance comparison of Canvas 4 with Samsung 4 due to the fact that latter one is loaded with technically superior components in same class; for an example Samsung has got Snapdragon and Octa-Core processor with 13 Mega Pixel Super Quality camera. Besides its 4.99 inch screen also provides 431 ppi resulting in 1080 X 1920 resolution.
The expected price of Micromax Canvas 4 is to be below Rs. 16,000 (US $300) and definitely the Indian smartphone leaders has to cut corners in order to make phone much more inline with the demand from price conscious users. Pre-booking of Canvas 4 would start from June 28, while the device is expected to be available by second week of July this year.
