It seems that users are more likely to own portable 7-inch Tablet and that’s why, Apple has decided to launch ‘iPad Mini’ in the next months. According to a recent survey conducted by J.D. Power and Associates over 1,985 Tablet owners in the U.S. in July of this year, Tablet owners (respondents) spend 7.5 hrs per week for watching videos, music streaming, reading books and browsing the internet, while PC owners spend 9.6 hrs per weeks for the same purposes. The study also evidences Tablet owner (owned the Tablet for less than 2 years) satisfaction on the basis of five prime factors including performance (26%), ease of operation (22%) , styling and design (19%), features (17%) and price (16%).

In terms of customer satisfaction, Apple’s iPad dominates over other Tablets with 848  points (on a 1,000-point scale), follows by Amazon with 841 points. Tablet owners (having smartphone as well) spend 40% more time on their tablet for browsing internet compare to their smartphone, besides these owners also spend 56% more time on their Tablet for gaming apps compare to spend on their smartphone.

The survey reveals that 25% of owners  use their Tablet for business purpose. On the other side, 37% Tablet owners are more likely to buy a new Tablet within next 12 months. In addition to these, a fact has also come into the notice that more than one-half (61%) of owners share their Tablet at least one other person.

Moreover, Amazon has come to the second notch in customer satisfaction and now, company’s new Tablets are available in the market for sales. Amazon’s brand new Kindle Fire HD Tablet is available at market since last Friday. However, users could not purchase the 8.9-inch version of Amazon’s sleek new slate until next month, but they can buy the 7-inch model on the company’s websites for just $199.

We have already described the specification of latest Amazon’s Kindle Fire Tablet. The new Kindle Fire HD features 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1280 x 800 pixels HD, front facing HD webcam and Amazon’s primary library for streaming videos and TV shows. However, the non-HD models of Kindle Fire Tablet are available for just $159.

At present, there are number of high-end Tablets are available in the market at the affordable price and really, Kindle Fire will have to face a stiff resistance from these potent rivals. Despites, combined shipments of Amazon’s 7-inch and 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD are expected to touch five million figure in second half of this year. Of course, a significant number of users are also waiting for Apple’s “iPad Mini”, coming next month.
