Why Apple Is Organizing Separate Events For iPhone 5 And iPad Mini?

Must Read

It’s pretty known that Apple is going to announce its one of the most admired products ‘iPhone 5’ at the New York event on September 12. At present, market is flourished with Android phones having more than 4-inches screens sizes. This time, Apple is also experimenting with the screen size of its iPhone 5 and 3.5-inch screen of iPhone is getting left behind.

Apple’s new iPhone is more likely to get 4G LTE connectivity with dock connector, which has been untouched since the launch of iPhone in 2007. Undoubtedly, the new iPhone will be Apple’s sixth generation smartphone and it’s expected to be available on September 21 of this year. Last year, Apple launched iPhone 4S and Siri, a personal voice assistant, was center of attraction, but this time, the new iPhone will have plenty of features.

It’s well known; how much important important the iPhone is for Apple? iPhone is not only an important product for Apple,  but it’s one of the most profitable products in the world today. Previously, Daring Fireball’s John Gruber described that Apple could share the same stage for both of its flagships –iPad Mini and iPhone 5–on September 12. However, announcement and release date of Apple’s iPhone 5 has been confirmed, but there’s still a dilemma about the release date of ‘iPad Mini’. Most probably, the device could be released in October of this year, as per the rumors.

Apple To Organize Separate Event For iPhone 5

Now, it has been confirmed that Apple is going to host New York event on September 12 for iPhone 5 and it might organize another event for ‘iPad Mini’ in first or second week of October. Like iPhone 5, we might expect the similar releasing pattern for ‘iPad Mini’ next month. I have already described that Apple is currently working on the production of iPad Mini and it instructed its hardware manufacturers to ramp up the production of the device in order to meet the demand of the users in holidays season.

Why Apple Does Not Prefer To Share iPhone’s Event  Stage With Its Other Products?

In the last quarter, iPhone accounted 46.2% to Apple’s total revenue. Above, I have already mentioned that iPhone is the most important product for Apple and if it shares the iPhone’s event with some other products, it will definitely dilute the attention of users. It’s true that iPad is also one of the most important product for Apple. Announcing to its two biggest products at the same time could baffle to users.

If Apple announces both the products at the two different blockbuster events, long anticipated by users, then it will create a fair impression in the mind of users. On the other hand, the company will also have sufficient time to marketize the products if it’s delaying the schedule for its both the products.

Microsoft To Launch Windows 8 powered Tablets In October

I think, Microsoft could not be a big threat for Apple because Microsoft is just debuting into the Tablet segment and Apple is leader of this segment. However, we might see lineups of Windows 8 powered Tablets in October this year from different vendors such as HP, Lenovo and more. In Q3 of this year, Apple generated a revenue of $35.0 billion with net profit of $8.8 billion, while Microsoft succeeded to manage a revenue of $17.41 billion in its Q3 of the fiscal ended March March 2012. It’s really tough to believe that Apple is generating almost the  same revenue from its iPhone as Microsoft is generating from its entire businesses combined.

Apple has carved a strong impression in the mind of business professional and Microsoft has also the same strategies. Indeed, it’s very tough for Microsoft to lure Apple’s users especially to business professionals, those are using iPad. If Apple hosts iPad Mini event separately, then it will have obviously sufficient time to shape out strategies against its rivals.
