Undoubtedly, Facebook is the world’s largest and most popular social networking site with more than 901 million of users. Its simplicity and user-friendly GUI have given the global exposure and wide acceptance, globally. Though Facebook is being accepted in many regions, the security is always a concern among its users. Consequently, users are still reluctant towards their crucial and sensitive information over Facebook.

On the other hand, though the number of Google+ users are less in number, the users are more satisfied with its security and data handling when compared to Facebook. As a newly introduced social network, Google+ emphasizes on avoiding the drawbacks of other social networks – especially Facebook.

The American Customer Satisfaction Index has numbered the social networking websites on the basis of customer satisfaction. According to the report, Facebook has lost nearly 8% of its customer satisfaction, in the year 2012. Where as Google+ users are more satisfied with its usage with over 78% user satisfaction ratio. “Foresee”- the company involved in the total scenario, with “American Customer Satisfaction Index” – said, Google+ is more acceptable among its users than Facebook.

Reason behind Google+ success:

According to the report, Google + is attractive, secured and gives lots of priorities to its mobile users. It contains fewer and censored ads when compared to Facebook. Facebook users are facing many problems related to photo tagging.

Note:- Tough Facebook has given complete authorities to its users for blocking and unblocking user’s post. Many users are unaware of the blocking techniques.

The reasons behind Facebook losing its “customer satisfaction”:

Facebook’s newly introduced features are one of the reasons responsible for user’s dissatisfaction. Recently, Facebook changed its TimeLine from the regular view to more complex one. Rapid changes in its existing home page made its user uncomfortable.

Preview of the posted content in the Timeline – which is either adult or offensive; especially those contents tagged by others –  is one of the reasons for the dissatisfaction among the users.

Effect on Facebook:

Obviously, users’ dissatisfaction will affect Facebook’s internet traffic. Also the report clarifies that lots of advertisements on the Facebook home page could trigger discomfort among its users.

Even some of the users have not hesitated to install plug-in like “ad block” to get rid of ads, as users are more inclined towards News updates and friends.

Facebook should take care about all of the above issues before implementing any external features on its TimeLine, as the users’ satisfaction is the key of success for every social network – no matter its Facebook or Google+. And if Facebook turn its back towards users’ grievances, it should recall the final destination of predecessor MySpace.
