Microsoft Could Target Enterprises For Windows Phone’s Proliferation

Must Read

Microsoft launched Windows Phone in 2010, but the OS is still struggling to get appreciation around. According to a recent report, Windows Phone/ Windows Mobile is going to grab 5.2% of the entire mobile OS market share by the end of this year. It seems, adoption of Smartphone in the developed countries has almost reached to its maximal level and now, manufacturers are more targeting to emerging markets like India and China. However, Windows Phone has poor penetration across these countries and it’s trying to cross its ferry by teaming up with Nokia.

At present, Microsoft is providing financial assistance to Barns & Noble (for the promotion of Tablet) and Nokia (for both Smartphone and Tablet). It’s quite obvious why Microsoft is providing financial incentive to Nokia. Just to produce cheaper handsets for developing markets where users are not willing to own expansive mobile handsets device. However, it’s great strategy of Microsoft because Nokia has strong penetration in emerging market like India. It has been noticed that both (Nokia and Microsoft) are giving up their attentions from U.S. market due to intense competition from rivals like Apple and Google.

At present, a significant number of companies are relying on Microsoft for Windows OS and Office suite due to business purposes. Microsoft has stringently tied up with these companies to provide considerable services. In this context, Microsoft’s rivals such as Google and Apple seem decent. It’s pretty clear, Microsoft could leverage over these relationship  for carving a superb Windows phone ecosystem around. In other way, it’s flawless experience for end users, from viewing to editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations, using Microsoft’s Office suite.

It’s true that Windows Phone platform is struggling to take off the market share of Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android. But, while we are considering about Virtual Private Networks (VPN) clients, then we find out a major drawback of mobile ecosystem. Indeed, one needs to have secured data inter exchange (transmission and receiving ) over the network.

Microsoft’s Windows Phone is quite suitable for secured data accessing and business purposes. That’s why, the company has launched its Surface Tablets especially for business clients. Microsoft has made a strong impression into businesses and professional through its enterprise applications. The company has also announced to launch full-fledged Office Suite for Android and iOS platform later this year.
