Indeed, while you switch on to your PC, it takes some times (one or two minute or even more) due to booting and reloading of contents. Besides, there are lots of demerits which make computer “a terrible experience”. In 2009, Google started a project to provide a seamless experiences to users on their Computer and launched its first “Chromebook”  last year with hardware partners Samsung and Acer. Using Chromebook, user needs not to wait for long time in order to access the device. It’s very easy to access apps, games, photos, music, videos and other documents on Chromebooks. The device has inbuilt anti-virus software, so users need not to be worried about the purchase of anti-virus software.

Pros of Chromebooks and Chromebox:

Undoubtedly, Chrome web browser is integrated with the OS of each Chromebook. The web browser has millions of applications and billions of users.  This time, Google has released a new Chromebook, which is being manufactured by Samsung, and also unveiled first Chromebox. Chromebox has been designed to  meet the requisite of desktops for home or office purpose. Both the devices are being powered by Intel Core processor, and it’s expected to be nearly three times faster than the first-generation Chromebook. The main features of the devices are that it supports hardware-accelerated graphics, a built-from-scratch multi-touch trackpad and an open-source firmware stack.

A video (below) has been provided for you to elaborate features of the devices. For accessing all these contents, users need not to install additional software.

Cons of Chromebooks and Chromebox:

Undoubtedly, Google is expecting more from these devices, and why not? The Google has targeted business and educational customers, and it has somehow succeeded to attract a significant number of users worldwide. But, at the present scenario, Chrome OS and its hardware seem uncompetitive due to advent of low costs desktops, ultrabook devices and Tablets.

However, when Google introduced Chromebook in the market, last year, was the demand of the time but this time, large corporations and educational institutions have adopted Tablet, a low-cost computing solution. An increasing demand of Tablet has swallowed PC shipments since last couple of years.

On the contrary, Chromebox has been priced for $329, while the price of Samsung Series 5 (model no. 550) is started from $449 to $559 with 3G services. Really, users are price sensitive, who will purchase such expansive devices. I think, the devices have been overpriced and it might be a hurdle for their shipments.
