Undoubtedly, Motorola Mobility has officially become a part of Google after long legal maneuver around the world. Now, Google could create an integrated hardware software ecosystem—which is threatening to Android partners. But most important paraphernalia is here that Dennis Woodside has been nominated as a new CEO of Motorola Mobility after replacing Sanjay Jha. Astoundingly, Dennis has no such technical backgrounds which permit him to work as CEO of one of the leading mobile handset company. He has never worked in any consumers electronics companies or mobile industries or even on any hardware project so far. Indeed, he is not an engineer, a supply chain Manager, telecommunication proficient or even design wonk. You might be perplexed that what the need of the company to elect Dennis as new CEO for its renaissance?

In nutshell, it’s important to describe the role of Dennis in Google. Prior to joining Google in 2003, Dennis worked at McKinsey & Company as a consultant. During two year of stint as president of Google’s sales in North and South America, Dennis drove revenue from $10.8 billion to $17.5 billion. Before this, he handled number of responsibilities to launch the company’s products in more than 30 countries.

Despite a lack of technical background, Dennis has played a vital role for generating multi-billion revenue for Google especially through ads side. In addition to these, he succeeded to grow more revenue for Google in  overseas and integrated the company with mergers.

Dennis is highly proficient to handle legal maneuver for acquiring companies, and has played a crucial role in Motorola Mobility’s acquisition worldwide. He has an in-depth knowledge of ad businesses and how to launch ad products.

Advantage Of Dennis In Motorola Mobility:

At present, majority of mobile handset manufacturers are facing a big challenge to prove themselves on mobile ad space in a meaningful way. Despite of manufacturing a high-end products, majority of manufacturers are seeking to create a satisfactory revenue due to poor ad impression, which affected Motorola too. Motorola has already talented employees, those can build and design a highly competitive products, but it needs to have a proper online ad business for its reformation.

Dennis has sound knowledge of online ad business. By taking leverage of new CEO, Motorola Mobility could prove itself in the market. Android is a big deal for Google because it has become a source of generating money for the search giant either directly or indirectly. However, Google is so far unable to create as much of money from the OS as it could. Still, Google is far away to monetize its mobile OS platform. And I think, the company has appointed the new CEO to outburst the mobile ad market.
