With 10.2% appreciation from 2011, India IT Infrastructure Market is expected to reach $2.03 Billion in 2012. The Infrastructure market comprises Server, Storage and Networking Equipment. The market will sustain this growth for next 4 years, to reach $3.01 Billion by 2016, as per Gartner.

Interestingly, the expected growth is primarily driven by eBusiness market in India as the majority of investment would be done into modernization and new establishment of Data Centre across the country. The need and demand of excellency in Cloud model and eBusiness is pushing Data Centre companies to improve their setup. In fact, the explosive adoption of social media and broadband connections has become a concern in demand-supply chain and investors are looking towards companies who are willing to setup new Data Centers soon.

The majority of India Infrastructure market growth will be driven by Storage systems which would be needed for cloud computing and by IDCs. Storage market will witness 18.9% CAGR in next four years – which is the highest among all streams of Infrastructure.

Though, India is in early stage of cloud adoption, the market and future is promising for investors and companies. Local Cloud service providers will have to take their services for next level to stay competitive in the market. And, this will draw significant impact over the growth of IT infrastructure market in India.

“The nexus of IT forces, such as growing the mobility installed base, increasing social media penetration in the consumer and the enterprise space, coupled with gradual adoption of cloud, will drive fundamental shifts in the way data center managers design, operate and manage their data centers and associated partners,“ said Naveen Mishra, principal research analyst Gartner.

The growth is also being influenced by the demand of high-tech setup in companies who need centralize and efficient control over their in-house IT setup and Data. Such companies are throwing the current setup towards peak performance wall. Consequently, the need for upgrade and enhancement has been crucial to gel with current cloud infra which is scaling with constant with passing day.
