Voice Answer: A Siri Like App Available In Apple App Store [VIDEO]

Numbers of grievances have been registered against Apple’s revolutionary voice recognition apps—Siri–since its launch in the last year. This time, it seems that Apple is losing its grip on the market due to prolixity of folks to use the app across the world. They are seeking for another voice recognition app which could fulfill their desires. Recently, we have published that Google is also working on its own voice recognition project “Assistant” in order to compete with Apple’s “Siri”.

A Netherlands-based developer–Martin van der Spek—told to TechCrunch that he has been working–negotiating, tweaking and pushing—almost for three months. The app has been developed in collaboration with an answer engine “Wolfram Alpha”–which availed the data to the developer. The app lets users to ask questions–either speaking to the app or typing in a written format.  Netherland-based developer said to analysis portal that after three months of struggle, finally, Apple has given an approval to the app to reside in its Apps Store. The app will available for iPhone, iPod or iPad running iOS 4.2 later this year. Undoubtedly, it might be a good hearsay for app enthusiasts. The price is kept just $3.99 for the app.

Martin also stated that the company is yet to add some more features in the app such as location-based place finding and email/SMS and more voice function commands to make the app more competitive.

A voice recognition app–EVI– was introduced for iPhone and Android devices at MWC this year, which was substantially analogous to Siri. Some folks believed that the app was even better than  Siri, however, it was threatened by Apple to be pulled out from the App Store. The reason is quite obvious that Apple had a fear from the app which could clinch the market hold of  ‘Siri’. Some of folks are still believing that ‘Voice Answer’ might be ‘EVI’.

Indeed, there is a challenge for third party developers to gain toehold against Apple in the market. Currently, numbers of developers around the world are keen interested to develop a potential voice recognition app against Siri.

However, the device which has been developed by Martin by conjunction of data from Wolfram Alpha seems a little bit tasteless due to more mechanical appearance. The developer is planning to create an animated robot for the interface. The video is being provided to elaborate how the app will actually look like:
