Google Leads Apple, Facebook And Twitter In Popularity: [STUDY]

Indeed, we are always very passionate about the brand valuation as well as the popularity of the companies. The eagerness increases more when the comparison is going to be done with the world’s two iconic technology brand “Google” and “Apple”—which are currently sitting at the remarkable level of popularity. A recent survey conducted by the ABC News, Washington, has revealed that 82% of Americans had a favorable opinion for world leading search giant Google. According to the national survey, 53% of folks (participated in the survey) expressed a “strong favor” opinion for Google. However, the survey was conducted by land line and cellphone among 1,007 randomly selected adults in between March 28-April 1, 2012 in the U.S.

Besides, 74% folks were in the support of Apple, lagging 8% compare to Google. The lagging point reach to 16 while the comparison was made on the basis of “strong favor”. Likewise, 58% of Americans supported Facebook, on the contrary, many people in the country had negative view for the creator of 140-characters commentary (Twitter).

The company is currently working on the numbers of projects such as voice recognition application “Assistant”, augmented reality eye wear Glasses concept, Smartphone and Tablet. Google’s endeavor to make such venerable projects had made the company the most popular brand in the U.S., that’s why, its per market share has soared to $600–and expecting to reach $1000.

In terms of social networking site, Facebook is currently dominating over all, while Twitter is the youngest among all these four brands (Google, Apple, Facebook and Twitter) had made its position as a combined social networking, messaging and marketing tools in the U.S.

We can’t ignore the popularity of Google and Apple, despite, 10% of the American had not expressed their basic opinion for Google, whereas, it rose to 14% for Apple. However, 14% and 13% folks did not know Facebook and Twitter in the US respectively. Google and Apple were widely popular across demographic groups especially among the young, affluent and highly educated folks across the country—due to its endeavor to design and develop innovative products.

Apple and Google were most popular in the households which annual income per year were $100,000 or more, had have 93% and 91% favorable opinion respectively. However, Google managed to maintain 92% favorability among adults (under 30 year age), while Apple had 81%. In addition to these, both brand had quite popularity among college graduates such as 88%  and 84% respectively.

Facebook was popular among 76% young adults, however, it dropped off among seniors–only 34% seniors (age 65 and more years) favored the social networking site. In  gender point of view, Facebook was viewed by 63% women compare to 53% of men during the study period in the U.S. However, the gender gap view was somewhat more in the case of Twitter, where the ‘140 characters commentary site’ was comparatively 11% more used by women than men in the U.S.
