Last month, Apple promulgated at annual shareholders meeting that the company has hoarded $100 billion cash in the bank. There has always been a question what should the company to do with this cash pile. Shareholders and employees of the company continuously have been compelling the company to invest the money in some constructive works. Speculations reveals that with the hoard of cash, Apple could buy some of the companies such as Time Warner ($38 billion), Dreamwork ($1.6 billion), and Viacom ($29 billion). Speculations are finally going to be end by today’s evening. Today, the company is going to announce where it’s really going to invest the money at “Apple Conference call” at 18:30:00 GMT+0530 (Indian Standard Time). Apple’s CEO—Tim Cook—and Apple’s CFO—Peter Oppenheimer—will host the conference call and will announce the “outcome of the company’s discussion” concerning to the investment of the cash hoard.
Anyway, everyone is highly excited to know what the company is really to do with this money. We might expect that Apple’s board of directors took decisions in favor of all such as dividends of shareholders, acquisition of some other companies and also a dip into philanthropy.
