The company has officially declared on its website that it has created 514,000 jobs directly or indirectly in US. Apple stated that it has surpassed six-digit figure jobs–it has created 304,000 jobs considered from engineering to transportation. And rest of 210,000 jobs is created from the apps economy.
The company has 246 retail stores in the US and an average of more than 100 employees in each retails. Most of workers in the retail stores are full time because the company is not more relying to hire seasonal workers.
Apple is now celebrating 25 billion apps download—and presently apps Store has having over 550,000 apps running on different devices like iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Apple has paid more than $4 billion in royalties to developers through the App store.
Apple has hardly been lashed out by US folks and politicians for creating 230,000 jobs in china instead in its homeland. However, Apple has employed around 27,350 workforces across the nation’s 246 stores.
The company has reportedly stated that a bunch of US companies has been relocating its technical support call centers overseas in order to save money. The company also said if the company will locate its technical support call centers overseas like in India then it could also save 50% expenses. In spite of this, the company has kept these jobs in the US due to better customer experience for which the company is known.
Apple has been facing stiff resistance to assemble hardware in homeland instead across the country. If the company will assemble its hardware in US, definitely, it would create a huge job in the country, but the product cost will augment. The company is currently trying to produce high-end product at appropriate price. There are some other challenges for the company, China has become the company’s second largest market and it’s going to be first by the end of this year.
