Microsoft Showcases Advanced ‘Sensor Fusion’ Technology Of Windows 8

Must Read

Microsoft is striving hard to deliver best Windows 8 experience to their consumers as their latest, feature packed Windows 8, is one of the most awaited OS of the year. Microsoft is developing Windows 8 such as to support the tablets and smartphones too though they had already released the supported hardware specification required to run the OS. Microsoft recently showcased the latest ‘Sensor Fusion’ technology of Windows 8 which will surely remit silky operating experience to the users. The advanced sensor technology of Windows 8 is capable of blazing fast and sensitive response from the hardware which will result in the much improved efficiency of games and applications using  various sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, compass etc.

Microsoft Windows 8 will be featuring advanced ambient light sensors which are amazingly paired with an accelerometer, compass and gyroscope, which will be functionally integrated to technology that Microsoft calls “Sensor fusion” so as to improve the overall sensor’s performance. Microsoft researched and surprisingly resulted into the fact that applying accelerometer, compass and a gyroscope respectively did not give satisfactory results but when the output of these sensors sent to processor as a combined data, results were amazing and thus Microsoft invented ‘Sensor Fusion’ technology for maximised output. We have to wait and see how the sensors in Windows 8 powered devices will perform.
