Will Android Surpass Apple’s iOS In Number Of Videos View

Must Read

There’s always been leapfrog game between Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android. It’s pretty clear that none of the competitors are weaker in any way. When time comes to announce the number of iOS device activated, Apple has always emphasized on the larger number by including its iPod. The quotation “bigger the activation number, bigger the potential market” seems noteworthy in the case of Apple. A video encoding and short url-services—Vdl.ly—has reported that Apple dominated 87% of the total mobile video view with its iOS devices in January 2011. But the climax changed in December 2011, Android’s mobile video view mounted up by 32%, while Apple’s share shrank to 52%.

Recently, Android Inc.’s co-Founder and Vice President of Google’s Mobile—Andy Rubin—tweeted that 700,000 Android phones activated per day which has increased from 500,000 activations per day last June. However, Android hasn’t reached upto the level of iOS’ devices in video view but the graph of video view on Android devices is moving up with the dizzying pace.

A research analysis firm has stated that Android was at zenith in mobile OS and clinched 47% of market share in Oct/Nov 2011 followed by Apple’s iOS (43%). Despite the record sales of Apple’s iPad and MacBook last year, Apple failed to achieve the target of revenue $29.5 billion in Q4 –predicted by market analyst. While Google succeeded to manage the expectation of market analyst and touched $9.78 billion in Q3 of 2011.

However, in the last holiday session in 2011, Apple’s iPhone 4S was most preferred smartphone for the users. Apple’s iPad 2 has also made its incredible appearance everyone, but induction of Amazon’s Kindle Fire dropped the expected shipment of the company.

The fragmentation of Android has made more money for Google, and it has become a major issue “whether it’s good or bad” for the company. The appearances of Android OS on different devices are different, which lures the users towards the devices. The question is all about the mobile video view on Android and iOS device. As the number of users of Android is increasing, it seems that Android’s devices video view will move ahead of iOS.
