Must Read

With so many smartphone manufacturing companies striving hard to be on top, the mobile technology is getting better and better with processors much more powerful and smarter than netbooks, 4G and LTE network connectivity, high-resolution cameras and camcorders, and screens better than what we have on TVs. Though there were not too many of them but still some of the companies like Huwaei, HTC, Samsung,Nokia etc showcased their latest smartphones at Consumer Electronics Show 2012, Los Angeles. Here are the some augmented and latest smartphones which were found sizzling at CES 2012.

Huawei Ascend P1 & P1 S

Huawei not well acclaimed in the US, but recently they made consumers talk about their smartphones all around the world. The company introduced two latest smartphones at CES 2012, the Ascend P1 and P1 S. Both have almost the same specification, except that the Ascend P1 S is the slimmest one as S stands for slim. And indeed, the P1 S is the slimmest phone around with 6.68mm thickness. Motorola’s latest, Droid Razr is 7.1mm thick ,which is not a huge difference but definitely a measurement to note.

Huawei Ascend P1 and P1S are powered with 1.5GHz dual core cortex A9 processor (TI OMAP 446), 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0,4.3” SuperAMOLED Gorilla Glass screen with a qHD (960 x 540) display and PowerVR SGX 540 GPU. With this astounding specification its capable of handling heavy processes with ease. The P1 S features a 8 MP camera with Auto-Focus, Dual-Led Flash,Geo-tagging etc and is supported back by a secondary 1.3 MP camera.

Sony Xperia S and Xperia Ion

Sony Xperia S features 4.3″ LED-backlit capacitive touchscreen display with 720×1280 pixels of resolution and Sony Mobile Bravia Engine which brings vivid colour originality to mobile display. Its powered with 1.5 GHz Dual Core processor, Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon,1 GB RAM and Adreno 220 GPU. Xperia S is also packed with a 12 MP camera i.e 4000×3000 pixels support with features like autofocus, LED flash,Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama and image stabilization. The most impressive fact about its camera is shot-to-shot speed as it only takes 0.9 seconds to get from one shot to the next. Its video recording capability is also amazing as it supports video recording at 1080p@30fps with continuous autofocus, video light and video stabilizer. The only drawback on its part is the missing MicroSD card slot though it has 16/32 GB internal space but that space is insufficient for that heavy camera.

The Xperia Ion is almost same to the Xperia S, except that it has a 4.5” display and will be released exclusively for AT&T, and is set for release in second quarter of 2012.

Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the highlighted smartphone at CES not because of its specification but its built quality and features like 1830 mAh battery, Unibody design,12.1 MP camera, unmovable battery etc. Nokia is really striving hard to bounce back and as far as Nokia 900 is concerned, Nokia will be bringing one of their masterpieces for the consumers in the near time. Motorola improved Droid 4 from the Droid 3 in two main points which are the keyboard and LTE connectivity. The Droid 4 brings physical keyboard into the mainstream action and gives blazing fast data network for smartphone lovers. The keyboard is backlit which is really an impressive augment. Droid 4 is now much more fluid and powerful with an updated 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, PowerVR SGX 540 GPU and 1GB of RAM though it features a 4″ display. The Droid 4 is the best bet for people preferring both touchscreen and keyboard with the support for High-speed LTE network. Its packed with a 8 MP camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS.

Its powered with 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor, Qualcomm S2 Snapdragon chipset and Windows 7.5 Mango.
