Internet has become a need for a daily life and most of us are significantly dependent on it for our everyday activities. But have you ever though about the those brains who worked hard to provide a network which allows to virtually present every where anytime ? How many of us  known about the creators of web ? Today, we are going to talk about top 8 web creators, who have made the internet world beautiful.

1. Tim Berners – Lee: – This name doesn’t look familiar for many of us. He is the man behind invention of HTML web server and First web browser. Time Berners – Lee is known as the inventor of the World Wide Web. His team has developed the first web browser – World Wide Web – , first web server and Hyper Text  based markup language known as HTML. It was him who brought together the concept of internet and hypertext in 1969, which is the base behind today’s internet. Currently he is the director of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) – looks after the development of the web as a whole.

2. Marc Andreessen: – Marc Andreessen co- authored Mosaic – first widely used web browser – and later founded Netscape Communications. Mosaic was the fist browser in internet history which was able to gather significant attention. Mosaic was the father of display image inline text. After designing Mosaic, he founded Netscape, which has an enormous impact in bringing web to mainstream users. Netscape released the code for Netscape communicator under an open license in 1998 and that project is known as Mozilla.

3. Brian Behlendorf: – Brian was the primary developer of the Apache Web Server, also one of the founding members of the Apache Group. In 1995, Apache was incepted and the entire codebase from the original NCSA server was rewritten and re-optimized. The main advantage with Apache is that its free and open source as well as it was built to be extensible. Which means ISPs could easily add their own extensions or plugins to optimize the server. It also allows hundred of sites to be hosted from one computer server. It remains one of the most popular web sever of the internet.

4, 5, 6. Rasmus Lerdorf, Andi Gutmans and Zeev Suraski: – These three are behind inception of PHP – the scripting language – which is the most popular scripting language for creating dynamic web pages. Of these three the main developer and creator of PHP first two version is Rasmus Lerdorf. He created PHP language in 1995 and later, in 1997, Gutmans and Suraski extended PHP by rewriting the parser and creating what became known as PHP3. These two went on to rewrite the core of PHP and give rise to PHP4. They both went to found Zend Technologies, which continues to develop application for PHP till date.

7. Brendan Eich: – Brendan Eich is the creator of JavaScript and currently holds CTO position in Mozilla Corporation. He created JavaScript when he was at Netscape. First he named it as Mocha, then LiveScript and finally he named it as JavaScript which became official in the year 1995. it quickly become one of the most popular web programming language and today maximum games, apps and softwares are based on JavaScript coding. Later, the JavaScript was coupled with the power of Ajaxas an integral part.

8. John Resig: – John is the creator and developer of jQuery. It is one of the most popular JavaScript libraries on the web. It is really apart of others because it is compatible across the web browser. Currently, it is use by 31 percent of the top 10,000 most visited websites. Its extensibility and the jQuery UI toolkit has made it as one of the most popular adoption target in enterprise app development.
