It’s going to become 6 months for the launch of Google+. Internet users across the globe have widely appreciated and accepted the new social media initiative – also being considered as Facebook competitor – by Google. Within 2 weeks of launch Google+ reached 10 million user mark and in first quarter, it successfully managed to engage more than 50 million users – which is indeed a commendable milestone for any company.

Interestingly, Google has got its arch rival founder – Mark Zuckerberg – as the most followed user in Google+ network, which caught attention among internet users. T play down the situation Google pushed its own executive to stay attentive and active over the network which resulted in Sergey Brin to join the top users list.

But Google+ is not just all about few renowned people. The below infographic, from Flowtown,  showcases who are the other users acting, sharing and making Google+ floated. Users from U.S. are leading the way, followed by India – just like over other social networks. Recently introduced Google+ pages are creating more traction among popular  brands.

However, there are only 17% users who are claimed to stay active on the network. Google+ is also witnessing steep decline in site visits as people are not tend to visit the network very often unlike Facebook.
