It’s going to become 6 months for the launch of Google+. Internet users across the globe have widely appreciated and accepted the new social media initiative – also being considered as Facebook competitor – by Google. Within 2 weeks of launch Google+ reached 10 million user mark and in first quarter, it successfully managed to engage more than 50 million users – which is indeed a commendable milestone for any company.
Interestingly, Google has got its arch rival founder – Mark Zuckerberg – as the most followed user in Google+ network, which caught attention among internet users. T play down the situation Google pushed its own executive to stay attentive and active over the network which resulted in Sergey Brin to join the top users list.

Users from U.S. are leading the way, followed by India – just like over other social networks. Recently introduced Google+ pages are creating more traction among popular brands.
However, there are only 17% users who are claimed to stay active on the network. Google+ is also witnessing steep decline in site visits as people are not tend to visit the network very often unlike Facebook.
