Few months earlier Apple had launched its updated version of MacBook Air in the market. Now Acer is on its way to launch the Ultra slim model of its laptop called Aspire S3-951. Today company has announced that in the coming week it will go on sale. The new Acer laptop will give directly competition to the Apple MacBook Air. MacBook Air has almost uncontested in last few years with in the category of ultra-thin laptop due to its blistering high-speed, SSD drives as well as tiny form factor.

Acer Aspire S3-951, the company’s venture into the world of Intel’s Ultrabooks, will be loaded with Window – 7 – powered operating system to provide challenge to  MacBook Air.

The major difference between Acer Aspire S3-951 and Apple MacBook air is the price. Aspire S3-951 will be available at the cost of $899 where as the cost of MacBook Air is $1299. People may prefer Aspire S3-951 since in current economic condition price is also an important aspect for the sale of any gadget.

As compared, Apple MacBook Air maintains following features:

Now it’s up to users whether they will pick Aspire S3-951 or MacBook Air. But if it’s up to me, first I will see my wallet and then according to the weight I will do the purchase. Acer likely to fire more and more ultra-book in coming days. One of the interesting facts; Toshiba is also on its way to launch its Ultrabook in coming days which will result in immense competition in laptop market.
