With every passing day Facebook is strengthening its presence in social media market and has become backbone for social media space. Users are increasing constantly and around 50 million people have joined the site in last three months. Though, company has yet not confirmed any rise in its number, but reveals that at least half a billion users accessed the site in a single day last week.
Recently Facebook was criticized enormously by users for the new design of “News Feed” and “Ticker”, but this massive growth in last three months indicates users’ faith in Facebook.
Company’s most recent statistics states that in June this year it had more than 750 million monthly active users and now the count has jumped up to 800 million. At F8 developers’ conference actor Andy Samberg, who was pretending to be Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, show a chart which suggested that site has reached 800 million marks.
Few days earlier, Facebook said that more than half of it active users log-in on any given day. Since company has 800 million monthly active users, it will not be a surprise to see 400 million users log in on any individual day.
The growth rate of Facebook is much higher when compared with Google+. In last three months number of users added in Google+ is 26 million compare to 50 million of Facebook users. So it would be difficult for anyone to justify that Google+ will surpass Facebook soon. Infact, in coming few years it’s quite difficult for Google+ even to come closer to Facebook numbers.
Now it would be interesting to see whether Facebook counts increase in the same way or declines especially when company is on spree to launch new features?
