How about having all such fun on an open social platform which allows you to do this much effectively, efficiently and easily? Yes, it’s none other than Facebook that has come up with a whole new section, replacing profile page, to keep your memories live, whenever you want, through “Timeline”.
At the company’s f8 developer conference in San Francisco, Zuckerberg laid out Facebook’s vision for the future of profiles. Though, Timeline is nothing but an improved version of users’ profile page, this time it has been completely revamped, organized and engaged with your personal information. Timeline allows users to distinguish their items based upon the years, object types and applications.
Now, users can roll back to any of the year just by a single click and view the uploaded objects like photos, updates, videos and stories which they executed then. Basically, it’s a form of visual history of who you were, how you have become now and the what roadmap who followed from then to now.
Unlike current profile page, where users don’t see the item after certain numbers, timeline consumes and maintains each everything visible on the page irrespective of date, year or counts. Today, once status leaves profile page its quite unlikely that users will recall that again through the tedious process by clicking on “old itmes” at the bottom of profile page till he gets the right one.

“It’s fun and easy to fill out your timeline,” Zuckerberg said.
The new timeline is all about engagement rather than sharing or networking. It’s a comprehensive personal page where each activity will be tagged with dates. Since everything will remain visible all the time on the page and users can also find out anything by few simple clicks, users are expected to enjoy every moment of their life in far better manner.
However, Facebook has not rolled out the “Timeline” yet and it’s expected to be available for users in next couple of weeks. In mean time, you can visit the Timeline home page and sign-up for early launch.
