Surely, this is going to spoil the party of Microsoft which is all set to release pre-beta version of Windows 8 this week at Worldwide Partner Conference. The copies of pre-release version of Windows 8 is under auction hammer at eBay. Seller claims that CD up on auction is a leaked Windows 8 Milestone 3 build. Although it’s not immediately clear whether he got access to Genuine CD through illegitimate way or the whole setup is a part of just another online scam.
The Canadian Seller is offering the CD for $1,500 at online auction leading site eBay.com. Though we are pretty sure that technology giant will grab the attention soon and the auction will be pulled down, it would be interesting to count how many “tech enthusiasts” manage to get one.
The option of being a genuine CD with Canadian seller can’t be ruled out completely as Microsoft is currently working on pre-beta copies of Windows 8 in preparation to release the beta version of the OS at BUILD developer conference in September this year.
Interestingly, company is also under the process of preparing pre-beta version CD of Windows 8 which could possibly be showcased in Worldwide Partner Conference kicking off from today. Recent reports suggest that the company reached build 8042 on July 7 and is planning to hit build 8100 for the beta stage. However, the possibilities are almost null that company will release this pre-beta version of Windows 8 CD at WPC.
