Toshiba Qosmio F750: World’s First Glasses-Free 3D Laptop

Must Read

At the end of 2011, world will witness one of the most fascinating invention coming from Toshiba. Toshiba unvield a prototype of its latest laptop Qosmio F750 in CES’11, which they will be releasing in the end of this year. The amazing fact about this laptop is the 15.6″ screen that displays 3D images which can be viewed without those dinosaur type glasses. The Toshiba F750 laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 Huron Sandy Bridge processor and it supports Full HD (1366×768-pixel) video playback. Laptop is given an advantage of a 2GB nVidia GeForce GT 540M graphics chip and Harman Kardon speakers.

An interesting feature of Qosmio F750 is that it has a built-in HD webcam that traces the motion of viewer’s eye through a beam of light and sends the left and right image encryption to that part of the screen accordingly. In CES’11, Toshiba defined it as “switch cell image adjustment”. The optimum position for viewing a 3D movie or game on the F750 is around 60cm from the screen.

The only negative fact that I don’t like about this laptop is the 60cm range of the laptop so as to view display in 3D. When a viewer is not in the webcam’s range then it starts sending 2D output. Well, overall its something new that we will have in the end of this year, getting rid of those glasses.
