Protect Your Mobile With Face Recognition Feature By Vision AppLock

Must Read

If you own an Android based mobile handset and are an avid user of apps then, I am sure, you understand the prominence of data sits on your mobile. This could be your personal, business critical or sensitive information and any type of mishandling of your mobile can cost you tons. Though, there are many ways you can protect your phone by locking it through an alpha-numeric password, it becomes troublesome to pass through your mobile security keeper every time you to fiddle with your phone.

This Android application allows users to protect their data by securing only those applications they want to protect from unsafe usage like Email, Calendar or Contacts. Intelligently, application uses the next generation “Face recognition” technology to protect all your valuable apps and data.

The application “Vision Applock”, developed by a ‘Finnish’ company named Visidon, allows you to take your snap from the front facing camera – obvious need – and take you through the list of apps to select those which you want to protect. Consequently, next time when one try to gain access to any of the protected apps, they will need to go through the face recognition feature.

It all sounds fun and simple for every sexting maniac out there, but there’s one important caveat – the software is far from perfection as people on blogosphere reporting about the security glitch. I guess this is still some sort of beta and that future releases will get the needed “sexting seal of approval.”

If you have an Android phone and want to give a shot for this app, just download it from Android Market Place. Demo video of Vision AppLock after this break;
