Windows Phone 7 Ready to Launch by October

The Development of Microsoft’s much awaited Windows Phone 7 has final completed. The mobile OS is ready to release to manufacturing (RTM) stage, as said by company today. However there is no official date has not been announced yet, sources claims that Windows Phone 7 can be available for real testers (end users) as soon as in coming October, which will set the destiny of the much ambitious phone from company.

Currently it is left for networks and manufacturers to work on the final integrations of WP7 so that it is prepared for its release. With growing popularity of Touch and smartphones, Microsoft had announced the Windows Phone 7 to incubate the competition. Specially after the release of iPhone 4 and Samsung GalaxyS, company was under tremendous criticism towards technology challenge in mobile market. It is the Microsoft’s attempt to regain the ground it has ceded in mobile to rivals Google and Apple.

“Windows Phone 7 is the most thoroughly tested mobile platform Microsoft has ever released,” said Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of windows phone engineering. “We had nearly ten thousand devices running automated tests daily, over a half million hours of active self-hosting use, over three and a half million hours of stress test passes, and eight and a half million hours of fully automated test passes. We’ve had thousands of independent software vendors and early adopters testing our software and giving us great feedback. We are ready.”

The OS includes integration with Zune, Bing, Xbox Live and Facebook, as well as an overhauled UI and multi-touch screen. Two things it will not include at launch: multitasking and copy/paste functionality.
